Prototype Facilities
PCB Laboratory, Level 1, P04
Printed Circuit Board (PCB) / donut board / strip board are essential for the capstone project since it is one of the rubric for the conceptual and final prototype presentations. If the project uses breadboard / protoboard, the mark is deducted to 1 over 4 only. Here are some facilities available:
PCB Board (Free of charge. Click here to download form)
Glossy Paper (limited, needed for PCB heat transfer process)
Laser Paper Printer (require for PCB printing)
PCB Printer (require for PCB printing)
Lamination Machine (for PCB heat transfer process)
Drill (for drilling hole for the PCB)
Soldering Iron Set (to solder the components to PCB / donut board / strip board)
PCB Etching (process by AE for safety)
Crimping Pliers

Proper casing for the project is mandatory. The end result should resemble a marketable product. Here are some facilities available:

UTM Makerspace, S01
